How to Add an Animated GIF to Google Slides

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Exporting Your GIF

To create an animated GIF, navigate to File > Export. Here, you have two options: Create a Video or Create an Animated GIF.

2. Choosing Your GIF

If you select Create a Video, you'll be presented with a standard video format. To create a GIF, choose Create an Animated GIF instead.

3. Applying Your GIF

To use a GIF you already have, navigate to the Insert menu and select Image from file. For GIFs included in your theme, go to View > Theme Builder and choose the Slide Theme Options tab.
